Class 4.2 Spontaneously Combustible - 250 mm adhesive vinyl label Spontaneously Combustible materials which, under conditions encountered in transport, are readily combustible or may cause or contribute to fire through friction, self-reactive substances which are liable to undergo a strongly exothermic reaction or solid desensitized explosives. These materials that will catch fire if exposed to air without any heat being applied (that is, the heat from the normal air is sufficient for them to catch fire - no other source of heat is required). Examples include: white phosphorous, fish meal and cotton waste.
